Pontiac Community Foundation Launches $10 Million Endowment Initiative
The Pontiac Community Foundation (PCF) is taking a major step toward long-term impact with a goal to raise $10 million in permanent endowment funding to support the city of Pontiac for generations to come.
This work is being supported by a $600,000 grant from Ballmer Group, which is helping PCF strengthen its fundraising capacity, build internal systems, and expand its philanthropic reach.
Since its founding in 2018, PCF has primarily operated as an active, operating foundation—delivering programs, administering grants, supporting small businesses, eliminating medical debt, and serving as a fiscal sponsor for local partners. Now, the organization is entering a new phase focused on sustainability and long-term investment.
“We see the need to build endowment, to create donor-advised funds, and to ensure that PCF is here for generations to come,” said Founder and CEO Dustin McClellan.
The endowment will support key areas that drive opportunity and growth in Pontiac, including small business development, housing and homeownership, transportation, and broader community development efforts.
As part of this initiative, PCF is working with experienced national advisors to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy, strengthen donor relationships, and build the internal infrastructure needed to support long-term giving.
With strong partnerships, expert guidance, and a clear vision, PCF is positioning itself to become a permanent philanthropic engine for the city—supporting both immediate needs and future transformation.
