Pontiac Community Foundation Expanding M1 Mobility Transportation Fleet Through Investment From Penske Foundation
Pontiac, Mich. – Pontiac Community Foundation (PCF), a nonprofit organization focused on leading collaborative efforts in the City of Pontiac, is expanding its transportation fleet with the addition of three brand-new vehicles from Penske Foundation.
Expanding the transportation program, M1 Mobility, is a transformative step forward for the Pontiac Community Foundation (PCF). Thanks to a generous donation of three brand new vehicles from the Penske Foundation, including one ADA-equipped vehicle, PCF is poised to enhance our service capabilities significantly.
Following its inception, M1 Mobility has already provided over 30,000 rides, with an impressive 5,000 of those rides being delivered in the first half of 2026. Pontiac Community Foundation and the Checkered Flag Challenge established the M1 Mobility Transportation Initiative to bridge the transportation divide in our community. This expansion will enable us to meet even more community needs, ensuring that our residents can access essential resources and services. “We are profoundly grateful to the Penske Foundation for their support,” said our CEO, Dustin McClellan. “This partnership will allow us to elevate our efforts, helping our residents move from merely surviving to truly thriving in their daily lives.”
Since being established in 2018, the Pontiac Community Foundation has invested more than $12 million into the city, residents, small businesses, and nonprofits of the Greater Pontiac area. PCF's Center for Pontiac Entrepreneurship (CFPE), has invested in local businesses and leaders. CFPE has completed over 1,200 hours of training and more than $700,000 in grant funding. Pontiac Community Foundation also hosts over 100 partnerships with community organizations and leaders. Through the partnership with Penske Foundation, PCF will increase the transformative opportunities and resources brought to the community.
“We are proud to support the Pontiac Community Foundation’s transportation program
through the donation of three vans that will help expand access to essential services for
Pontiac residents. Reliable transportation can make a meaningful difference in people’s
daily lives. We hope this contribution strengthens the Pontiac Community Foundation’s
ability to serve those who depend on these vital transportation services, and we are
honored to be a part of its mission,” said Angie Broaddus, Executive Director of the
Penske Foundation.
