Dustin McClellan
Dustin McClellan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Pontiac Community Foundation and has led the organization to mobilize more than $10 million of investment in Pontiac. He previously served as Executive Director of The Power Company Kids Club, which provides leadership and character development to more than 1,600 children in the Pontiac community. Dustin also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Dream Centers of Michigan, Leadership Oakland, and Key of Hope, a humanitarian organization in Durban, South Africa. Dustin was honored as a member of the 2017 Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40 class and a 2021 member of Crain’s Detroit Business 40 Under 40 class. He received the 2021 Most Valuable Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Corp! Magazine and is a 2023 Paul Harris Fellow.
Dustin is a Pontiac native and has served on various community boards and commissions in the city, including the Pontiac Housing Commission, Master Plan Steering Committee, and as Chair of Mayor Tim Griemel’s Transition Team.

Jonathan Borowski
Jonathan Borowski serves as Chief Financial Officer and oversees the business and financial operations of the Pontiac Community Foundation. Jonathan believes that good stewardship and excellence in financial infrastructure are key for an organization to succeed in its mission. He previously served for 8 years as COO and CFO for Key of Hope USA/South Africa, a nonprofit entity serving the community of Durban, South Africa. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics Honors with a University Honors Co-Major from Wayne State University.

Jamila Anderson
Jamila Anderson serves as Executive Administrator for the Pontiac Community Foundation, overseeing office operations and providing general support for our Executive Leadership. She attended Oakland Community College, where she received her Associate in General Studies. Prior to joining PCF, Jamila spent many years working in non-profit organizations, helping to oversee after-school programs, summer camps, and youth mentoring.

Denise Harris
Denise Harris serves as Prevention Coordinator, overseeing Pontiac Prevention, a substance abuse coalition funded by the Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities. After losing her father to a fatal heart attack and her brother to an overdose, Denise, who has dedicated 21 years to her daily work as a registered nurse, was inspired to educate and empower others to learn life-saving skills to prevent tragedies from happening to their loved ones. Denise also leads Healing Hearts Safety Services, which seeks to educate the Greater Pontiac community by providing various training courses, including First Aid, CPR/AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), and others.

Emma Kartes
Emma Kartes serves as the Director of Philanthropy at the Pontiac Community Foundation, where she develops and oversees fund development strategies, donor relations, and marketing. Emma graduated from Central Michigan University (CMU) with a Bachelor of Science in Public and Nonprofit Administration. During her time at CMU, Emma earned the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (NLA). Demonstrating her leadership skills and dedication to the nonprofit sector, she served as the Executive Director of the Nonprofit Leadership Student Alliance (NLSA), where she guided her peers in developing impactful community service projects.

Derrick Loruss
Derrick Loruss serves as the Director of Transportation at the Pontiac Community Foundation, where he oversees the day-to-day programming, community partnerships, and operations that power the M1 Mobility initiative. As a resident of the City of Pontiac, he is fully committed to PCF’s mission of building a brighter future for Pontiac. Derrick has a strong desire to serve Pontiac residents and partner with other organizations to help make a lasting impact in the Pontiac community.
Director of Transportation
Jacob Willson
Jacob Willson serves as the Director of Housing Initiatives and the Program Administrator overseeing program development, neighborhood and housing partnerships, and impact reporting for the Pontiac Community Foundation. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Central Michigan University. He is currently a master's candidate in the Urban Planning program at Wayne State University, with a concentration in housing and community development.

Ramon Valentin
Ramon Valentin serves as our UCC Fellow and assists with our various programs. Raised in the City of Pontiac, Ramon has been volunteering in the community since the age of 14. He previously served as the Community Engagement Director at The Power Company Kids Club. In this role, he helped develop and cultivate relationships with other local nonprofits and businesses in the Metro Detroit area. Ramon has a passion for seeing urban communities prosper and for empowering the next generation to take pride in the communities they live in.
